Two great quotes I heard in the last few days:
#1. 300 pound Artie Lange from the Howard Stern Show was on David Letterman Tuesday night:
The reason I’m so heavy, I think, is my mother is an enabler with food. [...] The day I met my mother, I weighed 7 1/2 pounds… Since I met my mother, I’ve put on 293 1/2 pounds. I’m literally 40 times the weight. The woman is the devil!”
I think his math was one pound off, but the joke is still funny.
#2. Kortnie, the barely plus-sized model (only compared to the rest) from this season’s America’s Next Top Model:
My body is a temple, and sometimes my body wants cheesecake!”
Man, if I looked like Kortnie, I’d be so happy. That quote cracks me up though. It’s not your body that wants cheesecake, it’s your brain!
Artie’s joke is funny, too. When there’s no one else to blame, blame your Mom!
If Kortnie is plus-sized, what size is Artie?

I just spent some time searching the web for Kortnie’s height and weight… but I guess ANTM does not publish that information. I was curious what her BMI was and how plus sized she really is….I guess we will never know.

I don’t think any sane, seeing person would consider Kortnie to be “plus size”. Rather, most models are sickly and underweight (and most likely suffering brain damage from malnutrition as well).
As unattractive as an overweight physique is, a sickly, underweight one isn’t all that great either. Women need muscle, and they need a healthy amount of bodyfat (not too high, but not super-low either) and in my opinion Kortnie is not “plus size”, she is a healthy weight for her height.

Artie Lange is so funny, great post! I saw him when I got Borgata tickets for his show in Atlantic City back in January and he puts on the funniest act, he looked like he lost a little bit of weight, I hope he doesn’t die like John Candy and Chris Farley and John Belushi….all the fat comedians seem to die young. If Artie Lange comes back to Borgata, I’m definitely going to see him again….I’m always worried my artie lange tickets are going to become collectors items because they’ll be stubs from his last show.
